What does Golf Card require of my golf course?
Here's what we ask of Golf Course Affiliates:
- Offer our members a minimum of two 18 hole rounds of golf at your facility per year at a reduced, pre-determined fee, set by you.
- Display Golf Card promotional materials in your shop to show you honor Golf Card.
- Honor gift certificates issued by Golf Card to our members. Also, when you sign up, we ask you to provide course information... par, yardage, slope and travel instructions. Members read this information in our annual directory, quarterly publication, monthly E-Newsletter and website. They use it to plan golf trips and outings.
Here's what we ask of Golf Card members:
- Golf Card Members must call your course in advance for a tee time.
- When they call, they must identify themselves as a member of Golf Card.
- They must show a valid membership card when checking in. (All cards include an expiration date.)
- They must rent a powered golf cart.
How does Golf Card help boost my business?
- Raise awareness for your course. We place your course in front of our 70,000 members through our quarterly member publication, annual course & resort directory, monthly E-Newsletter and website (www.golfcard.com).
- Fill more weekday tee times. Our members average 74 rounds of golf each year. Because roughly half of them are retired, they prefer to play on weekdays. So you can book more hard-to-fill weekday tee times... sell more food, beverage and merchandise... increase traffic in your pro-shop, clubhouse and bar... at the same time you increase revenue for cart rentals and green fees.
- Fill your off-peak schedule. Golf Card helps increase the number of rounds played during off-peak hours, days and seasons.
- Get FREE national exposure. Our full-color member publication, Golf Traveler, is published four times a year and features our golf course affiliates. As a new affiliate, your course will be fully profiled in the new affiliate section of our member publication, featured in our Annual Course and Resort Directory and in our monthly E-Newsletter and on our website, too. (And you can link your website to ours for free!)
- Increase cart rentals. Golf Card's program requires our members to rent carts, which increases revenue for you as well as promoting faster play and more rounds played.
- Attract more couples business. Golf Card encourages couples to travel and play together resulting in more business for you.
- Increases sales with Golf Card Gift Certificates. Gift Certificates, given to our members for new member referrals, are redeemable in your pro-shop and reimbursed to you by Golf Card at full value.
- Earn $25 for each membership sale. You earn $25 for each new member signed from point-of-sale materials displayed at your pro shop. To make the transaction easy... and stimulate sales, we supply attractive point-of-sale materials.
- Host a Grasshopper Club Tournament Over 100 locally run Grasshopper Clubs sponsor and run over 1000 local tournaments per year. Affiliates enjoy the opportunity to host one or more of their tournaments.
